College Game Day

There is less than a week away from the start of college football! It is that time of year again to bring out your team colors and school spirit. So the question is what colors will you be sporting this weekend? Football is not just for the boys anymore so ladies it is time to suit up in your favorite team! Of course you can always look glamorous doing so. LJ has matched some of the top college football picks this season with some of our top jewels.

We of course have to start out with some of our top picks from the great state of Texas!Lexie Bracelet, Jennifer Ruby, Robyn Turquoise, Ella Earring

Take a little orange calcite to wear with your Longhorns, or maybe a bit of Turquoise for the Baylor bears. You really can find stones to match any team of your choice and add to your school pride.

Now lets take a look at the teams listed in the top four for the 2012 season.

Tricia Red, Chelsea Earring, Tina Red Garnet, Ella Necklace

Three of these big hitters have one thing in common, that is they are painted in a shade of red. That is of course other than the glowing purple and gold of the LSU Tigers. The red coral and garnet stones fit best with all of the red toned teams. As for LSU we chose a labradorite earring in a shade of gray. Although the labradorite is gray it picks up shades that are worn around it so can put off a sweet purple hue when worn with your favorite dress or top from LSU.

So who is your favorite college team? What jewels will you wear on game day?

Taking on AFW

From the weird to the stylish, Austin kicked off their week in fashion. This was our first year taking a run at Austin Fashion Week. Although we were not able to be a part of many of the events, we had the honor of having Jamie nominated for a Rising Star award, and had our Bianca make a cameo at the opening night ceremonies. We have a few fun photos to share with you – our 15 mins in the spotlight!

We were happy to get a shot of the gorgeous Mary Catherine wearing our Bianca to the Shift into Style event.

Shift into Style was the kickoff to Austin Fashion Week. This event was hosted by Circuit of the Americas and included a red carpet that cascaded down in front of Formula One race cars.

Truly a fantastic way to kick off the week in the Austin area especially with the introduction of Formula One to the city this year. We were thrilled to have someone there to represent LJ and to have her share her photo with us! Thank you!

Now lets go from the beginning of the week, to the end of fashion week. With the special honor of being nominated as a Rising Star in the city of Austin, Jamie strutted her stuff with handsome hubby Vick down the Red Carpet of the awards show for Austin Fashion Week.

Along the way Jamie also had the pleasure of posing with pop violinist Josh Vietti who performed at the ceremony. This was our first year with a closer look at what Austin Fashion Week had to offer and we loved it! All of us at LJ are so excited to have had a small part in AFW, and to especially have had our talent behind the name LJ nominated for such a great honor. And hey maybe we didn’t win, but we sure did have fun! Oh and we definitely will continue to do our part to “Keep Austin Classy.”

On that note we will leave you with these shots we loved from Austin Fashion Week of the runway of Sarah Eileen taken by

What were some of your favorites at AFW?

A Winter-White Fall

So says the age old rule, “You can’t wear white after Labor Day.” Well I’m sure any of today’s top designers would gladly disagree. For the Fall season you may think darks, reds, or oranges, but one top fashion this year is head-to-toe white. The winter-white out look was spotted all over the runways at the NY Fall Fashion shows, and will be seen on women all over once the cooler season rolls around. So lets white it out starting with our ears all the way down to our toes!

Cynthia Rowley, FlowerBlouse, Jeans, Clutch, Heels, Nail Polish, Coin Pearl Earrings, Emma Necklace, Jordan Bracelet

We love things crisp, clean and white here at LJ so we are loving the ladylike white looks of Fall like the one seen above at the Cynthia Rowley show during New York Fashion Week. We mixed up hues of white to make a great Fall look with a casual, yet dressy feel. You can also play up any outfit with jewels in tones of white, whether it be pearls or white coral such as our Emma Necklace. This year after Labor Day put the old age saying aside and proudly wear your whites!

How do you like to wear your whites?

Ear, Arm, and Eye Candy!

We are now into August with Fall swiftly approaching. LJ presents to you today the last of our new Fall Collection. These Fall baubles will be like candy for your eyes, ears.. and of course wrists! Our earrings and bracelets, like the necklaces, continue with some of the same cool blues, soft grays and darks.

Ellery, Tricia, Jordan

If you like a more delicate choice for what you lay on your wrist, these three ladies are an excellent pick! They can be worn separately, but make for great layering bracelets. With a couple of different colors to chose you can mix and match to create a perfect soft look.

Lyndi, Addison, Kate

The Lyndi and Kate bracelets can be worn as a necklace or a bracelet. They were designed to wrap around your wrist and give you multiple layers of color. The Addison gives the same look as a wrap piece, without actually having to wrap it which may work better for some.

Tina, Tricia

These dazzling “T” named earrings give you multiple choices of colors to best suit your mood, event, or outfit! Wear a solid gold pair of Tina’s to match with anything, or choose a sultry red garnet Tricia to mesh well with a fall inspired ensemble.

Cameron, Sarah, Bradie

If you are looking for a fun, bold look with a pop of color these dangles will be a good match for you. With just the right amount of chain mixed with stones you get the movement and the color you want out of any eye-catching earring.

So this completes the introduction of our complete Fall Line. What earrings or bracelets are your favorites?
